Academic Projects

I'm mostly involved in semiotics, philosophy and linguistics. My PhD dissertation focused on some metaphysical issues of biosemiotics and proposed a model to talk about meaning in biology. My work since has developed a number of specific lines, such as how to speak about meaning as a biological function, and how the interdisciplinary humanities can build models and what metatheoretical commitments emerge from them. I'm interested in signification lato sensu, environmental ethics, philosophy of science, metaphysics and the role of language in society.
